Using RefWorks with LaTeX

RefWorks and LaTeX are compatible.

Here are the steps from the RefWorks FAQ:

  • In the menu of output formats, click on Bibliography

  • Choose BibTex as the output style

  • Select Format a Bibliography from a list of references

  • Choose RTF (Rich Text Format) as the File Type to Create

  • Select which reference you wish to include (All References, My List, or References from Folder)

  • Click Create Bibliography

  • A separate RTF with your citations in BibTeX format will be created

You will have to save your file as a Rich Text Format-RTF file before generating the Bibliography.

If you have further questions or problems, please contact support@refworks.com. They respond pretty quickly.
