There are several U.S. Government-sponsored initiatives concerning nano science, technology, and medicine, such as:

• NIH Roadmap for Medical Research -- The NanoMedicine portion of the National Institutes of Health "roadmap" includes an overview, and lists of funded research and meetings.
  
  
• National Nanotechnology Initiative -- The NNI is a group consisting of nanotechnology-related activities of 25 Federal agencies, thirteen of which have R&D budgets that relate to nanotechnology.
