Computer Manuals Online

Safari Books Online is a database with online computer manuals and business books. It also contains instructional videos from lynda.com and New Riders.

You can search the full text, section headings, and even just the code in the computer manuals. Video results from your searches are displayed in a separate tab, so they aren't mixed in with the book results.

There is a limit to the number of simultaneous users (only 7), so please logout when you're finished.

JHU Gaming Lab

The Johns Hopkins University Gaming Lab was created during the 2008-2009 academic year.

A fully equipped development and testing lab has been created to support course-related and independent game development and exploration by students. The lab contains high-end workstations, including Nvidia graphics cards and an array of cutting edge development software, as well as a large-format Samsung screen and 5.1 surround-sound system for testing and game play.

The Johns Hopkins Gaming Lab is located in Mattin/Offit Room 225, adjacent to the Digital Media Center (DMC). Here is an additional JHU Gaming Lab site by Peter Froehlich, who was the instructor of the first course.

The lab is open to JHU students, faculty, and staff only.
