What is an E-Book?
An e-book, also known as an electronic book or digital book, is defined by The Oxford Dictionary of English as "an electronic version of a printed book."
It is important to note that an e-book is able to exist without any printed equivalent.

Downloading e-books on Library Computers
ATTENTION:
Due to software constraints, ALL DRM protected e-books may NOT be downloaded nor uploaded to an e-reader via a library Computer. You must use a personal computer, laptop, or wifi capable e-reader to download e-books to a personal Adobe Digital Editions account.
NON-DRM books, that do not require the use of Adobe Digital Editions, can be read and/or downloaded to a JHU public computer.
For more information about creating a free Adobe Digital Editions account or for assistance with downloading and uploading e-books to an e-reader, please e-mail the librarians at washrocklibraries@jhu.edu.
