Getting Books from Other Libraries
Borrow Direct allows you to request books from Ivy League libraries when the book is not available at JHU. This is the fastest way to get materials from other libraries, and should be the first place you look when you need something JHU does not own.
If you cannot get material through Borrow Direct, try Interlibrary Services.
Interlibrary Services is a system that allows you to get journal articles and borrow books from other libraries around the country at no cost to you. For a book, check Borrow Direct to see if your book is available through one of our partner libraries. If not, try Interlibrary Services to check availability at thousands of libraries. For journal articles, always use Interlibrary Services.
