Getting Books from Other Libraries

Borrow Direct allows you to request books from Ivy League libraries when the book is not available at JHU.  This is the fastest way to get materials from other libraries, and should be the first place you look when you need something JHU does not own.

Search for materials through Borrow Direct.

If you cannot get material through Borrow Direct, try Interlibrary Loan.

Interlibrary Loan is a system that allows us to borrow books from other libraries around the country.  First, check Borrow Direct to see if your book is available through one of the Ivies.  If not, try Interlibrary Loan.
