Associations and Centers:
- American Sociological AssociationNon-profit institution with over 14,000 members, publishes 10 professional journals and magazines, holds an annual meeting (JHU Sociology Department hosts alumni reunions at these meetings).
- Center for the Social Organization of SchoolsAn educational research and development center at JHU. Sociology faculty Stefanie DeLuca and Stephen Plank are cross-appointed to the CSOS.
- Hopkins Population CenterNICHD-funded and including faculty from the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, and Arts and Sciences. Sociology faculty Lingxin Hao is the director, Emily Agree is the Associate Director. Andrew Cherlin, Julia Burdick-Will, Stefanie DeLuca, Kathryn Edin, Stephen Morgan, and Katrina Bell McDonald are also faculty associates.
- National Institute of Child Health and Human DevelopmentSource of funding for Sociology projects and the Hopkins Population Center.
