Summer of ScholComm Invitation

Two IPLC groups, the Leadership & Advocacy in Scholarly Communication Task Force and the Collection Development Group, would like to invite you to participate in the IPLC Summer of ScholComm. This is a series of events designed to

  • Showcase efforts to advance scholarly communication at each institution
  • Learn how our current environment has changed, or not, these efforts
  • Discuss how we can support each other’s efforts and work collaboratively to improve and transform the landscape.

Three events are planned:

  • Lightning Talks Part 1 of 2. Wed June 24, 2020, 1:00-3:00 pm EDT Register here
    • Short presentations from half the IPLC institutions addressing how they are  advancing scholarly communication at their institution, and how has COVID-19 changed that?
  • Directors' Panel. Wed July 15, 2020, 1:00-3:00 pm EDT:
    • Panel w/ Chris Bourg (MIT), Anne Jarvis (Princeton), Winston Tabb (JHU), and Martha Whitehead (Harvard), and Q&A.
  • Lighning Talks Part 2 of 2. Wed August 12, 2020, 1:00-3:00 pm EDT  
    • Short presentations from half the IPLC institutions addressing how they are  advancing scholarly communication at their institution, and how has COVID-19 changed that?
