Search Tips

  • Truncate some of your words: entering therap* will search for therapy, therapies, therapeutic, etc.
  • If you want to search for a phrase, try the search twice: once with quotation marks, once without, to get different results.  “family therapy” vs family therapy.
  • Use NOT when you keep getting something unrelated that you don’t want.
  • Use the thesaurus at eric.ed.gov or within the database to use the most effective terms.
