If you already have an ORCID and need to link it to your JHED
•    Click Sign-in to ORCID and link with JHED
•    Authorize access for Johns Hopkins University JHU Affiliates to read-only access your ORCID profile by clicking the Authorize access button.
•    Once you have completed these steps, logging into the JHU ORCID Registry will display your ORCID ID with the Record Status JHED and ORCID linked.

Note: connecting your ORCID to JHED ID is only a read-only link—JHU cannot edit your ORCID record.

If you are starting from scratch and need to build your ORCID and link it to your JHED

•    Click Register and create an ORCID for yourself
•    When the pop-up window appears warning you that you will be re-routed to ORCID’s website, click Proceed.
•    Click Register now.
•    Complete the form, filling out your name and email address.
•    Consider the possible list of names on the Could this be you? pop-up window. If any of these names matches your information, you may already have an ORCID profile!
 
•    If none of the names match, click None of these are me, continue with registration.
•    Create a password.
•    Choose your visibility settings (recommended setting is Everyone) and agree to the Terms of Use.
•    Authorize access for Johns Hopkins University JHU Affiliates to read-only access your ORCID profile by clicking the Authorize access button.
•    Once you have completed these steps, logging into the JHU ORCID Registry will display your ORCID ID with the Record Status JHED and ORCID linked.
