Choosing Images

Choosing the right image and where to put it can be challenging in a system that's not always the easiest to use.  Ask yourself these questions before finalizing your image choice.

  1. Does the image match the content on the page?
  2. Is it the right size?
  3. Is it correctly placed?
  4. Does it need a caption or photo credit?
  5. Does it have ALT text for screen readers?

Adding Images

The recommended way to add images is to go to your image library, and upload and organize images there.

To access your image manager, sign into your LibGuides account, and in the menu, click content, then Image Manager.

Click content, then Image Manager.

 

Alternatively, you can go directly to the page where you want the image, and add the image within the editing window.  Click the image icon, then click Browse Server, then Upload an Image to find the image on your computer that you wish to upload.
