Exporting Search Results
A comprehensive search should not only incorporate combining controlled vocabulary and text words, it should also combine search results from multiple databases, to account for variations in content coverage and indexing.
Software that supports writing literature reviews accounts for a user searching multiple databases in two main ways.
- Enables recording which database the citations came from
- Automatically identify duplicates- the same citation retrieved from more than one database
Any of these tools will enable you to screen out irrelevant citations, attach full text articles, or write notes about the citation directly into your copy of the record.
