Planeta Prize

The 2012 Planeta Prize for fiction has been awarded to Lorenzo Silva for his novel La marca del meridiano. A surprise win, since this novel is the 7th in a series of crime novels. Genre fiction rarely finds itself among major fiction prize winners. check out Silva' Web site.

 

Literary News

The poet and novelist Jose Manuel Caballero Bonald has won the 2012 Cervantes Prize.
