Library Opportunities in the Classroom
Rare Books Visits: I have worked with instructors to create meaningful and engaging rare books sessions. Some sessions involve activities, in which students have hands-on access to rare materials. For instance, students in a Milton Seminar may look at illustrated editions of Paradise Lost in order to explore how artists interpreted the work through the centuries. Other sessions are more literary tour-focused, in which an array of rare books that align with a particular class topic are on display and I walk the class through the materials. Rare books visits take place in the Special Collections seminar rooms located in the Brody Learning Commons. |
