AV Services

Patrons can request DVDs, book viewing rooms, and get help using equipment like microfilm readers at the Service Desk.

In order to book one of the AV viewing rooms, refer patrons to the room reservation page of the website. The AV and Microfilm rooms have to be reserved at least 24 hours in advance.

Unscheduled access to the viewing rooms is allowed, but always make sure to check that no other class/group/or individual is scheduled for either of the viewing rooms. If a viewing room has been booked by a different party (even if the scheduled party is not present), refer the patron to the other room instead. Only give a booked room if the alternate is filled (and only if the scheduled party is at least twenty minutes late.

Alternatively, if the patron is alone, offer a DVD Drive instead.

Library patrons with active JHED IDs can request circulating AV materials directly through the library catalog.

All they need to do is click the "request" button in the library catalog.

All AV Reserves are shelved a the Services Desk.
